We are often asked “What do the Knights do for our Church and our Community?”
Here are just a small sampling of those things…..
- Many members that donate blood on a regular basis to our blood drives
- We serve meals to the needy at the St. Joes meal site
- We have purchased food trays and roaster ovens for the Parish Center
- Co-ordinate and serve the Palm Sunday Breakfast and Parish picnics
- Hosted pizza and bowling parties for the Alter servers
- Purchased a riding lawn mower for the parish
- Helped with snow removal when necessary
- Gave monetary assistance to parish families in need
- Donated monies to the Victims of 9/11
- Donated over 100 fans to Project Now for the elderly
- Through our annual Tootsie Roll Drive have returned over $23,000 to community projects
- Helped the St. Vincent DePaul society deliver Christmas baskets to the needy of Rock Island County
- Donated monies each year to the following projects
- MDA, St. Jude’s, Alzheimer’s, Pro Life, Milan Santa, Jordan, and Alleman tuition help, and many more.
- Hosted Free Throw contests for Girls and boys ages 10-14
- Helped yearly with Allouez Pro Life breakfast
- And many man hours helping out where we can with St. Ambrose Parish activities and community projects.
- Supported local seminarians
- Purchased items for our Parish such as;
- Ladders, refrigerator, vacuum cleaner
